Our Therapists
Benjamin O'Neill
PhysiotherapistBen completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of Otago in New Zealand in 2009 before moving to Australia in early 2010. Ben gained his Master’s in Occupational Health and Safety from the University of Newcastle in 2013. Ben started Resolve Physiotherapy after working for a local physiotherapy private practice as he had a vision to provide better treatment to surrounding areas. Ben has a special interest in occupational health and has previously worked as an onsite physiotherapist and workplace rehabilitation provider for a mining company in Queensland. Ben is married with three young children and enjoys spending time with his family in the outdoors.
William Fordham
PhysiotherapistWilliam (“Billy”) Fordham graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from the University of Huddersfield in the UK and relocated to Australia in 2022. He began his career in the NHS, completing core physiotherapy rotations before moving into private practice musculoskeletal (MSK) care and county cricket, where he spent five years providing game-day cover and player rehabilitation. Billy has extensive experience working with English powerlifters, bodybuilders and strongman competitors, supporting both performance optimisation and injury management. Now based in Devonport, he works with Resolve and is involved with Cricket Tasmania and the Hobart Hurricanes, providing match-day coverage and player rehabilitation. With an 11-year career spanning hospital and private practice settings, Billy has developed a broad skill set across MSK, respiratory, orthopaedics and sports rehabilitation.
Monika Bones
PhysiotherapistMonika completed her advanced Diploma in Physiotherapy in Germany in 1994. She since worked in Germany, New Zealand and Mainland Australia. Tasmania has been her home since 2007, and she has enjoyed working on the North-West Coast in private Clinic ever since. Monika’s professional development has been extensive and varied. She enjoys Problem solving and helping clients to get the best health outcomes. Monika lives with her husband on a hobby farm near Sheffield. She has one adult son.
Dhara Mehta
PhysiotherapistDhara Mehta is a dedicated and compassionate physiotherapist with over a decade of experience in the field. Dhara graduated with her Bachelor degree in physiotherapy from India in 2012 and have spent the first 7 years of her career honing her skills in variety of settings like cardiorespiratory unit, ICU and outpatient department. Dhara moved to Australia in 2022 with her husband and daughter. Dhara has had the pleasure of working with Resolve physiotherapy since 2023 where she has focussed on providing care to a diverse range of patients. Dhara enjoys spending quality time with her husband and daughter. In her free time, she is an avid reader, always seeking new knowledge and insights that she can bring into her personal life and professional practice.
Matthew Smith
PhysiotherapistMatt has joined the Resolve team very recently. He has a strong background in exercise science and has completed his Masters of Physiotherapy in 2024. Matt continues to develop his knowledge of musculoskeletal health conditions and injuries.
Rose-Maire Samuels
Exercise PhysiologistRose recently graduated from the University of New England in Armidale, NSW, with a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology, she is eager to help all clients manage their health conditions or injuries using a tailored and evidence-based approach. Rose is passionate about working together with every client and empowering them to build positive relationships with their health and wellbeing in a safe and supportive environment. Outside of work you’ll find Rose in her veggie garden, trying a new recipe in the kitchen, pretending she knows how to fish, taking her dogs camping, or off on a hike. Rose has recently been introduced to the world of endurance horse riding, which she is loving, and is also trying to fit in a snowboarding trip each year or so!
Karla Bellchambers
Allied Health AssistantKarla has 13 years of dedicated community-based experience supporting elderly and disabled individuals. Karla brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to her role. In 2023, she completed her Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance. For the past two years, Karla has been a valuable member of the Resolve team as an Allied Health Assistant. She takes great pride in designing and delivering tailored exercise programs that significantly improve her clients’ mobility, strength, and overall quality of life. Karla is deeply motivated by the positive impact her interventions have on those she supports. In her free time, Karla enjoys hiking, regular gym sessions, gardening, and spending time with her husband, two daughters, and beloved dog, Ruby. She looks forward to welcoming new clients to the clinic.
